Philips Engineers Get Merits & Profit Share
Philips engineers get their merits back this year. Not only they will get their merits back but also a 2% salary increase as profit share. Of course that is if they don’t have individual bad reviews from their managers.
Rockwell Automation Donated $150,000 to Haiti Relief
Rockwell Automation has committed $150,000 to disaster relief in Haiti after the devastating earth quake there.
I found out from Rockwell’s internal news page and also their twitter page. I was surprised that I couldn’t find it in Google News or other websites.

Intel Fined $1.45 Billion
Intel has been fined a record 1.06bn euros ($1.45bn; £948m) by the European Commission for anti-competitive practices. Intel has announced that they will appeal the decision.
The fine is because between 2002 and 2007, Intel had paid manufacturers and a retailer to favor its chips over those of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
